The first time I ever said I was an #empath was at a (mostly male) property event I was speaking at. It felt like a confession. I thought all I'd see were rolling eyes, or blank confusion. Bear in mind, I come from a trading floor background and the most competitive university arguably, this side of the pond.
Nobody rolled their eyes.
Next, I thought the few women in the audience might nod and give me a knowing look. They didn't, or not that I saw.
But a few MEN did. A couple of them even contacted me after to say they related, and how it was great to just hear someone talk about it in a world like investment and real estate.
Is it just me or do we not think of men as empaths? Why not? It feels like perhaps they've been tarred with the same gender role ideals as the rest of us. MAJOR EYE ROLL 🙄🙄🙄
So tell me, are you a man, and an empath?(And not a therapist or coach perhaps)? What's been your experience of this? Please share!
